Day Two of Adelaide 500 has everything you want – heaps of qualifying, thrills and spills, stunt teams and Supercars. Here’s our trackside planner for Friday 2 March…
Roll off your free Adelaide Metro service for qualifying for the Porsche Carrera Cup, before heading over to Gate 1 to see the New Holland Split Rhythm powered by Monster Energy supercross get serious in qualifying.
Now for the serious stuff. Find your seat and park yourself for 40 minutes of the Virgin Australia Supercars roaring onto the track for first practice at 9:45am.
Supercars done – now make your way towards Fullarton Road near Turn 13 for the 20 Years 20 Supercars display – but don’t forget qualifying for the Audi R8 LMS Cup at 10.40am!
Get to Gate 1 for the first New Holland Split Rhythm race for the day, or if tarmac is your thing, hang around the circuit at 10:55am for the Matt Mingay Stunt Bike team, followed by Race 2 of the Touring Car Masters.
The Aussie Bandit Wheelstanding Ute team makes its first appearance for the day at 11:40am, but why not hang out at Holden Heaven outside Turn 10 to get in the mood for the Supercars that return to the track at 12:00pm for Practice 2.
Don’t miss the Hot Wheels Drift team on the track, followed by the Porsche Carrera Cup’s opening race.
Lunchtime! And there’s plenty on offer in the Gold Zone, Supercars Paddock and City of Adelaide TrAction Zone to fill you up.
Split Rhythm Race 2 gets underway near Gate 1, or make your way towards the main straight for the Top Fuel Dragster demonstration.
If you’ve got the kids in tow, why not check out the RAA Family Zone near the Turn 9 hairpin? There are heaps of rides, free face painting, a circus train and mini golf!
If you have never seen a Stadium Super Truck race, now’s the time. The big beasts hit the circuit at 2:40pm for a 20-minute race, followed by final qualifying for the Audi R8 LMS Cup at 3:15pm - make sure you’ve got your seat!
You won’t want go move from your spot after the finish of the Audis, because the Supercars qualifying session gets underway at 3:50pm.
Check out the Hot Rod displays near Turn 9 before finding your spot for Race 1 of the Dunlop Super2 series at 4:25pm.
Head back over to Gate 1 to see the final Split Rhythm race for the day. Before heading over to the main stage for the Made in SA concert, headlined by Cold Chisel, Kasey Chambers and Bad//Dreems. Support acts commence at 5:30pm.
