The 21st edition of the Adelaide 500 will again open Virgin Australia Supercars Championship from 28 February - 3 March 2019.
As Australia’s largest domestic motorsport event, the race retains its traditional place as the season-opener for the nation’s premier motorsport series.
The 2019 Adelaide 500 will also mark the debut of the new Ford Mustang, which will serve as the Blue Oval’s premier model in Australian touring car racing since the introduction of the Falcon.

Hidden Valley: McLaughlin claims 100th race win for DJR-Penske

Scott McLaughlin held off Shane Van Gisbergen to take out Race 15 of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship at Hidden Valley on Saturday afternoon.
In doing so, McLaughlin secured the 100th race win for Dick Johnson Racing in Supercars.
Strategy favoured the pair, who came out in the effective race lead after the first round of stops, with polesitter and actual race leader David Reynolds falling down the order after his stops.
The highlight of the race was undoubtedly this exchange by Rick Kelly, Jamie Whincup, Craig Lowndes, David Reynolds and Shane Van Gisbergen.

Hidden Valley: David Reynolds wins Race 16

An outside pass from the start helped deliver David Reynolds victory in Race 16 of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship at Hidden Valley Raceway on Sunday.
Reynolds passed polesitter Rick Kelly deep under brakes into the first turn and proceeded to open up a margin over the field.
Reynolds managed to hold onto the race lead after the cycle of pitstops, eventually edging series leader Scott McLaughlin and defending champion Jamie Whincup to take the victory.

Hidden Valley: McLaughlin, Kelly top practice

Scott McLaughlin and Rick Kelly have led the way in Friday practice ahead of Saturday's opening race at Hidden Valley.
Kelly led the time sheets with a 1:06:5 in the first session of the day, but it was McLaughlin who was quickest overall - going another four tenths faster in the final session in his Shell V-Power Racing Falcon.

David Reynolds will start from pole position for Race 15 of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
In what is his first pole position for Erebus Motorsport, Reynolds led a team 1-3 with rookie teammate Anton de Pasquale putting in his best performance of his short top-flight career to take third on the grid.
