DJR Team Penske has released the first images of its test of the new Ford Mustang that will debut at the Superloop Adelaide 500 in 2019.
Sporting a camouflage livery of blue, black and white mustangs, the new #17 racer completed its first testing laps at Queensland Raceway on Wednesday morning at the hands of Shell V-Power Racing Team drivers Scott McLaughlin and Fabian Coulthard.
The car will be taken for a private test at Phillip Island on Friday and Saturday this week.
The Mustang will make its first championship appearance at the season-opening Superloop Adelaide 500 from 28 February-3 March 2019, where it will be run by Shell V-Power Racing and Tickford Racing.
It brings an end to the long association of the Ford Falcon with Supercars/Australian Touring Car Championship Racing, following the end of production by the Blue Oval in 2016.
