“For just $99 on Sunday - and free general admission entry for all children aged 14 and under - fans can enjoy the day’s racing, a myriad of off-track activities, and then settle in for a world-class entertainment performance - it is exceptional value.”
So said Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment David Ridgway on Thursday night, when he confirmed the Superloop Adelaide 500 had secured American rock legends, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as the headline act for Sunday's after race concert, presented by Triple M.

With just over 100 days until the Supercars series ignites the streets of Adelaide to kick off its 2019 season, the announcement of the Chili Peppers as the finale for three nights of concerts will get hardcore motorsport fans and city thrill seekers revved up.
The concert, which will take place following the conclusion of the Superloop Adelaide 500 on Sunday 3 March, will it turn provide the spark to heat up the South Australian capital's famous 'Mad March' festival season.
"We look forward to welcoming one of the biggest bands in the world to Adelaide in March next year as part of the Superloop Adelaide 500. As we finalise the deal we are so excited to share this news with fans,” said Minister Ridgway.
The only Adelaide performance for the Red Hot Chili Peppers forms part of the band's first Australian tour for 12 years.

“We love Australia and can’t wait to see all our fans in Adelaide when we drop the curtain on the Superloop Adelaide 500,” the band said.
The Peppers – who released their debut album 34 years ago – are one of the most successful acts in rock history, often performing in front of stadium and festival audiences of more than 100,000.
Having sold out their recent US and European tours, and headlining at Lollapalooza South America, the band is expected to play a set of tracks such as ‘Dark Necessities’ lifted from their current and eleventh studio album, The Getaway (which spent two weeks at #1 on the ARIA Chart), plus greatest hits and classic album tracks such as: ‘By the Way’, ‘Can’t Stop’, ‘Snow (Hey Oh)’, ‘Otherside’, ‘Californication’, ‘Under The Bridge’ and ‘Give It Away’.
Minister Ridgway will present full details about the concert at 7.00am on Triple M Adelaide (104.7FM) on Friday morning.
Sunday tickets to the 2019 Superloop Adelaide 500 - which includes access to the Red Hot Chili Peppers - start from $99 for an adult (general admission), while a four-day general admission pass for $199 will deliver four days of incredible on-track action, and after-race concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
