In case you missed it, the 2019 Superloop Adelaide 500 Concert Line Up is complete, with the recent announcement of Jet and The Living End set to ignite the stage on Saturday March 2.
Speaking to Triple M, The Living End's Chris Cheney has definitely got us excited for what we can expect from their set at the Saturday after-race concert, especially because of their special connection to South Australia.
"South Aussies are probaly a little bit bias [towards us], because we've got a South Australian in the band", said Chris, speaking about bandmate and The Living End drummer Andy Strachan who gew up in Adelaide.
It's a perfect fit for the Superloop Adelaide 500, with many supercars fans also fans of the Aussie rock legends.
"I guess the appeal [towards us] is people who like fast cars, fast music annd high-energy rock and roll. [We] just go hand in hand", he said.
The Living End have previously rocked the stage at the Superloop Adelaide 500 back in 2009, but are looking forward to making their return 10 years later.
"I can't wait actually! Last year was a huge year for us. We played so many shows, we went overseas and launched the new record, so we're still rolling on from that."
If you're wondering what to expect from their set at the Saturday night concert, expect a nice mix of the old and the new.
"Recently we've been on the Wunderbar album tour, and a lot of the new stuff is probably the best received record we've had in 10 years since White Noise. It's just really great to be on album number 8, playing a lot of new songs and people react to it.
It can always be a bit dangerous to do that because people want to hear what they call the classics. But we've always been one of those bands who has played our back catalogue, stuff that blows the roof off.
That's what we've always aimed to do, play our asses off, so it will be a good set [at the Superloop Adelaide 500]."
Jet and The Living End will take to the stage for the Saturday night after-race concert at the 2019 Superloop Adelaide 500 on Saturday March 2. Tickets are available here.
