For those that can't wait until the Superloop Adelaide 500 to check out the new Supercars liveries, you're in luck, with the reveal of 2019 liveries starting today.
Walkinshaw Andretti United has become the second team - after Red Bull Holden Racing Team released their 2019 livery in January - to reveal their new livery for the 2019 season.
The team has today announced that Mobil 1™ and MEGA have come together as the Team's new co-naming rights partners for the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship season to create Mobil 1 MEGA Racing.
This is Mobil 1's 26th year as partner of the Team, with MEGA - a solutions-focused distributor of fuel products in Australia - joining for the first time.
You'll see MEGA's branding come to life on the Holden ZB Commodores to be driven by both Scott Pye and James Courtney, with an all new white, black, purple, blue and gold PPG paint colour scheme, representative of the two major partners.
“Today is an extremely exciting day for Walkinshaw Andretti United, as we are delighted to announce Mobil 1 and MEGA as co-naming rights partners, and accordingly release our new team entry and livery presentation" said Bruce Stewart, Walkinshaw Andretti United Co-Team Principal.
“Importantly, having great synergy between two likeminded companies in Mobil and MEGA is refreshing for all parties involved."
“It’s an exciting time to be a fan of Mobil 1 MEGA Racing, we are all eagerly awaiting the first race in Adelaide now.”
Pye will continue with #2, while James Courtney will return to #22 after switching to #25 in season 2018 to celebrate the 25-year anniversary of the Mobil 1 partnership.
“The car and our new colours look fantastic, it’s a credit to everyone involved in getting them to this point, and I’m positive it will be a standout on track", said Walkinshaw Andretti-United Co-Team Principal Mathew Nilsson.
"Everything is falling into place and we can’t wait to hit the track and get the season underway. Adelaide can’t come quick enough."
Between now and the pre-season test next week at Phillip Island, other Supercars teams will follow suit and announce their 2019 livery, before all teams race officially for the first time with their liveries in Adelaide.
Some teams have teased their announcements already, with Irwin Racing announcing this coming Thursday evening, Erebus Motorsport planning a public reveal in Federation Square in Melbourne on Sunday February 10, and DJR Team Penske's Shell V-Power Racing entries next Monday morning February 11.
The only place to see all of the 2019 Supercars teams liveries for the first time is at the Superloop Adelaide 500. Get your tickets now and be part of the Opening Round of the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship!
