Castrol will continue its Kelly Racing partnership in 2019 with former Supercars series champion Rick Kelly to race under the Castrol Racing banner once again.
Kelly debuted a new-look Castrol livery at the Superloop Adelaide 500 in 2018 after the then Nissan Motorsport outfit secured the lucrative motorsport brand's sponsorship.
Now operating as Kelly Racing once again, with Simona De Silvestro and as two other to-be-confirmed drivers (though Andre Heimgartner and Garry Jacobson are the hot tips to be appointed to the team's third and fourth cars), the team will again be spearheaded by Rick and led off-track by elder brother and former racer Todd.
Rick Kelly anticipates another strong season, after the outfit claimed wins during the 2018 campaign.
"Castrol is one of the world’s most recognised brands in motoring, so to have their support over a multi-year deal is very exciting for us," he said.
"Last year, we really enjoyed working with them, and it was very rewarding to give them a race win and a number of podiums over the season.
"We love the look of the #15 car for this year. The livery on last year’s car was very popular amongst all fans, and we feel that everyone will be impressed with the look of our car.
"It’s also great to have the support of BP Ultimate. Both Castrol and BP are two iconic brands, and we are excited to represent them on and off the track."
The Superloop Adelaide 500 is the first event of the Supercars Championship and takes place from 28 February - 3 March 2019 at the Adelaide Street Circuit. Tickets are available here.
