IRWIN Racing Team - the newest iteration of Team18 - has unveiled its new livery for Mark Winterbottom for the 2019 Supercars season.
IRWIN Tools' full-time return as a major backer of a Supercars outfit brings with it the familiar blue and yellow livery run by teams to previously hold major sponsorship from the brand.
It will be Winterbottom's first season with Holden in a Supercars career spanning back to his 2003 Super2 victory in a Stone Brothers Racing AU Falcon.
After that, the 2015 Supercars champion raced for Larkham Motorsport and Ford Performance Racing/Tickford.
He will be joined by former FPR teammate Steven Richards in the enduros, with the reigning Bathurst winner splitting from Triple Eight Race Engienering for the Sandown, Bathurst and Surfers Paradise events.
“I love the livery! It’s great to see a good-looking car full of great sponsors that has a lot of credibility on it with national and global companies," Winterbottom said.
"To see IRWIN back in the sport and on the doors is really cool and having some blue on the car is a nice transition for me, to be in a Holden for the first time it kind of makes it feel a bit closer to home.”
Winterbottom will debut the car - a former Jamie Whincup chassis - at the Superloop Adelaide 500 at the end of February.
That will also see the debut of the new Ford Mustang, as well a slight alterations to the Commodore and Nissan aero pack following the homologation of the Blue Oval's new steed.
The Superloop Adelaide 500 is the first event of the Supercars Championship and takes place from 28 February - 3 March 2019 at the Adelaide Street Circuit. Tickets are available here.
