It's here... at least without camouflage paintwork.
The new Ford Mustang Supercar has turned its first show laps in a corporate race livery just ahead of the launches of the first new-look cars from Shell V-Power Racing, Tickford Racing and 23Red Racing.
Sporting a classic white-and-blue livery, the Mustang Supercar has been developed by Ford Performance in conjunction with the marque's two lead Supercars outfits.
Designed to fit the category's control chassis, the body sports a large rear wing and is the first new badge to the series since the introduction of Volvo, Mercedes and Nissan cars in 2013.
It replaces the Falcon, which has ceased manufacture in Australia, and joins the long-established Commodore badge which has run continuously in the category since its establishment.
The latest look for the Mustang broke to the world in a promotional video released by Ford Australia.
The Superloop Adelaide 500 is the first event of the Supercars Championship and takes place from 28 February - 3 March 2019 at the Adelaide Street Circuit. Tickets are available here.
