CoolDrive Racing has revealed its 2019 Commodore, to be driven by Macauley Jones in place of team owner Tim Blanchard.
Jones will drive the #21 CoolDrive/Tim Blanchard Racing Commodore, in doing so taking over the number used by father Brad until his retirement from full-time Supercars Racing in 2009.
CoolDrive will continue to operate out of the Brad Jones Racing stable, ensuring its new pilot will be in a familiar setting, having run in the Super2 series in a BJR car last year.
"Our team is quite a young crew and we get along really well," Macauley Jones said.
"Having worked alongside these guys in the workshop for the last few years now, we all know what to expect of each other and there are no grand expectations – just give it your best shot.
“We are excited to get the season underway, there will no doubt be a few challenges and a lot of work ahead of us. We are as prepared as we can be and looking forward to seeing what the 2019 season has in store for us.”
The CoolDrive racer is the latest revealed out of the Albury-based BJR workshop, following the unveiling of Tim Slade's Freightliner Commodore this week.
The Superloop Adelaide 500 is the first event of the Supercars Championship and takes place from 28 February - 3 March 2019 at the Adelaide Street Circuit. Tickets are available here.
