A black, white and Bottle-O Green pony will take to the track at the Superloop Adelaide 500 once again, with Lee Holdsworth uncovering his new Ford Mustang for 2019.
Holdsworth's defection to Ford in the off-season sees him replace former champion Mark Winterbottom, who in turn took his replacement's seat at IRWIN Racing.
The new Bottle-O Mustang sports the familiar green sides of previous years, with a white bonnet bearing Southern Comfort branding.
The new Ford driver is looking forward to starting the next chapter of his career behind the new car.
“I’m pumped to get back behind the wheel and to turn my first laps in The Bottle-O Mustang,” said Holdsworth, who joins Tickford Racing in 2019. “As a driver you’re always aching to get back in the car, and with the Mustang being introduced this season I’m really excited to have the chance to race one. On top of that, I’m happy to be associated with a company like The Bottle-O, they’ve supported the sport for so long now, so it’s great to have such a supportive partner on the door.
“The car looks great. You won’t be able to miss it on track and you won’t be able to miss me in my The Bottle-O green race suit,” Holdsworth said.
“The goal is to have the car up the front so the fans see a lot more of it.
"That work really starts [on Thursday] with the test [at Phillip Island].
"It’s our only full day of track time before Adelaide so it’s a very important day, I’m looking forward to getting into it.”
The Superloop Adelaide 500 is the first event of the Supercars Championship and takes place from 28 February - 3 March 2019 at the Adelaide Street Circuit. Tickets are available here.
