Supercars on Turn 1 weren't the only thing flying at the Superloop Adelaide 500, with Aussie Moto X young-gun Jarryd McNeil flying 38 feet high to win the first Moto X Step Up competition in Australia.
It was tough competition for Moto X Step Up presented by New Holland Agriculture, with some of the world's biggest names in Moto X attempting the vertical jump.
Both Aussie Robbie Marshall and Czech Filip Podmol had never done Moto X Step Up prior to the Superloop Adelaide 500, with Thursday's first practice session the first time they had attempted the feat.
Jarryd McNeil, who recently completed two gold-medal winning performances at the 2018 X-Games in the USA, was excited to perform in front of a home crowd.
McNeil was the overall winner of the competition, reaching a height of 38 feet and winning $18,000 in prize money over the weekend.
Closely behind him was US rider Colby Raha who reached 37 feet, followed by Czech Filip Podmol at 36 feet.
