A record number of acts will take to stages around the Superloop Adeliade 500 precinct in 2020 as part of Music SA's expanded Bands on Track program.
Music SA has confirmed the six primary acts which will support the After-Race concerts on Friday 21, Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 February at the Superloop Adelaide 500.
They include Colourblind and Seabass on Friday (opening for Grinspoon, Sneaky Sound System and The Superjesus), Dead Roo and Kings & Associates on Saturday (supporting Pete Murray and Sheppard), and Outside Lines and Dress Code on Sunday (before Hilltop Hoods, Illy and G Flip).
A selection panel determined the six bands to take the stage before the main acts each night.
This year's Bands on Track program has expanded to include more music around the Superloop Adelaide 500 precinct, with bands now playing at the Nürburgring, Indianapolis, Adelaide and 500 Club stages.
“The Superloop Adelaide 500 is delighted to once again support up and coming South Australian musicians, providing invaluable exposure at Australia’s largest domestic motorsport event,” said event concert manager Brian Gleeson OAM.
The line-up includes Hey Harriet, Matt Ward, Oscar the Wild, DJ Hot Chip, Elli Belle, Ollie English Duo, DJ Trip, and Diamond Skies.
"Bands on Track has been a wonderful initiative that has been a real springboard for our local musicians,” said Music SA chief executive Lisa Bishop.
"As well as the musicians gaining new fans, the diverse audiences can see for themselves why we are a UNESCO City of Music.”
The 2020 Superloop Adelaide 500 takes place from February 20-23. Tickets are on sale here.
