Rick Kelly's new Ford Mustang is green, mean and ready to scream its way onto the Adelaide Street Circuit on February 20 at the Superloop Adelaide 500.
Released in Fed Square on Monday, the Castrol Mustang, is the second of the Kelly Fords to be unveiled following the uncovering of Andre Heimgartner's NED Mustang last year.
Cheered on by his fans at the unveiling, Kelly said the transition from Nissans to Fords had not been an 'easy' task, but was excited about hitting the track in race conditions for the first time at the Superloop Adelaide 500.
“We really appreciate everyone’s support today and over the last few months," Kelly said.
"This hasn’t been an easy job as anyone could imagine but I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved.”
“It was a team effort to get the car and the engine done in a 16-week period, the guys back at the factory have worked around the clock and really dug deep to deliver this car.”
Kelly Racing joins the Red Bull Holden Racing Team as the only outfit to have unveiled its full line-up for the season ahead.
