The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect how we live, work and play, and has forced sporting events and organisations all over the world to be flexible and adapt how they engage with fans.
Since April, the Superloop Adelaide 500 team has been working with Supercars to determine how the 2021 Superloop Adelaide 500 will operate in this ever-changing climate.
As one of the biggest event-builds in the state, our world-class street circuit requires significant planning and temporary infrastructure to operate successfully, with the build starting months in advance.
As a result of these factors, the Superloop Adelaide 500 will not take place in its traditional time slot of late February/early March in 2021.
We are working with Supercars on revised dates for the 2021 event and are looking to have this resolved in time for their calendar release which is currently planned for October this year.
We understand that the successful completion of the 2020 calendar is an important priority for Supercars and are excited to see the sport return to South Australia at Tailem Bend later this month.
