The 2021 Superloop Adelaide 500 Official Charity is Foodbank SA.
Scott Pye (Team 18) with Foodbank SA CEO Greg Pattinson
Foodbank SA is the largest food relief charity in South Australia, supporting more than 126,000 South Australians with food relief every month. Last year alone, Foodbank SA provided enough food for more than 5.6 million meals.
All ticket purchasers for the 2021 Superloop Adelaide 500 will have the option to donate to Foodbank directly at point of purchase online.
You can also donate at the track during the event - just looking for the Foodbank SA volunteers in purple to make a donation, or jump on one of the buggies to get around the track for a small donation.
“Foodbank SA have been honoured to be chosen as the Official Charity partner for the Superloop Adelaide 500 for two consecutive years (2020 and 2021).
We are very grateful to have the support of the South Australian Tourism Commission for such an iconic major event that allows us to raise awareness and much needed funds for the work we do in South Australia.
In 2020, the Superloop Adelaide 500 (SLA500) was a fun filled and exciting opportunity for the Foodbank community particularly our team of volunteers. Importantly, SLA500 2020 helped us to put an additional 70,000 meals on the table of those in need in our community. We trust that the 2021 year will help Foodbank SA raise much needed additional funds to support the 126,000 South Australians experiencing food insecurity every month in our state. We look forward to SLA500 2021!”
